Musica Insieme 2016 - classical music concerts

Tonight was the second of six free classical music concerts for 2016, in the Musica Insieme series. This is the19th year of the series, until two years ago the artistic director was composer and music professor Klaus Huber. On completing his 90th birthday series Klaus became honorary director and Joachim Steinheuer became  the artistic director.

A three generations quartet comprising a violincello, viola and two violins accompanied by a pianist played music by Robert Schumann (1810 - 1856) and enthralled the crowd with their skills and presentation. We have seen them before and enjoy them every time.

Once again the Church of the Madonna of the Sbarra was the location for this concert. It has the hardest and most uncomfortable seats in creation but luckily the music almost distracted us from that fact!
